My husband and I enjoy growing roses in our garden.  We are members of the the American Rose Society and the Houston Rose Society (HRS).  We look forward every year to the pruning demonstration that the HRS conducts each February as a refresher prior to our annual rose bed preparation and pruning.

I enjoy the beauty and fragrance of roses.  We often share our roses with family and friends.

I painted "A Rose For June" for a very special person who is generally unable to enjoy our roses in person.  Hopefully, that person enjoys the painting, "A Rose For June" as much as I enjoy my roses!
