Artist's Notes:

"Freedom's Price" is my representation of the American Flag, a symbol of the ideal and reality of freedom. In the development of this painting, I chose to illustrate the flag as though it were a stamp, with many sections (of perforations) making up the entire flag image, with the words below of “I pledge…”.

I was inspired to paint this after a personal reflection of my heartfelt gratitude to all who served and to many who ultimately gave their very lives for us to live in freedom in this great country. In honor of this, I named the painting, "Freedom's Price".
